Visit Wales - Self Catering - 4 Star Award

A newly furnished, cosy and well equipped cottage in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Situated in the village of Llangattock, a 10 minute walk away from Crickhowell, near to the 16 century church of St Catwgs, the property was once part of the village school hall dating back to the 1890s.

A short walk through the church grounds and across a water meadow takes you to the Usk river and the stone arched bridge crossing over to the picturesque market town of Crickhowell. There is a fantastic range of pubs, restaurants and shops: including a bakery, butchers, grocers, florists, gifts, homewear, outdoor equipment and clothing. There is also an art gallery and tourist information office.

The cottage has 1 double room (sleeps 2) and 1 large twin room with an additional sofa bed (sleeps 2/3) and built-in storage. The double room has lovely views over to table mountain and Crickhowell. All the beds, mattresses and bedding are of high quality.

Kitchen

The Kitchen is modern with a gas hob and electric oven. The kitchen is very well equipped with quality pans, knives and utensils. Crockery and cutlery is all new and of a high standard. Coffee, tea, sugar, hot chocolate, herbs and spices are provided for your use, and a welcome pack is also provided.

Sitting Room

The sitting room has a large sofa and 2 leather armchairs providing a comfortable place to relax after a days walking. The log burner effect electric fire and gas central heating ensures that the cottage warms up very quickly. TV, DVD player, WIFI and Bluetooth stereo are available. Maps, tourist information, books and games can be found in the dresser.

The dining area can seat up to 6 and is situated next to the patio doors in the main living room.
